Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at Rydges Canberra left me with mixed feelings. The hotel's proximity to the city's dining hot spots, like Sherwood Restaurant and Buvette Bistro, was a major plus. However, the real culinary gem was The George Bar & Grill, which showcased the best of Canberra's produce through a refined menu.Eager to try their acclaimed breakfast, my companion and I indulged in a hearty meal. Savoring some of the region's finest ingredients expertly prepared by the chefs, we found the simple yet flavorful dishes quite satisfying. The extensive wine list and seasonal cocktails added a touch of sophistication to the dining experience. While The George Bar served as the social hub, we also explored neighboring neighborhoods, like Braddon, discovering hidden culinary gems along the way.
